The 4th of July holiday weekend is approaching! It’s the highlight of our Summer season here at Lake Gaston.

Dock parties, amazing fireworks, boat rides with friends and family are to be expected! We all will be proudly sporting our red, white and blue as well! As the saying goes, “I’m proud to be an American!”  I know I am!

I wanted to shine the spotlight on some really cool products that are made right here in the good ole’ U.S. of A!

Orbix H Glass- Fort Payne, Alabama

Made-in-the-usa-Orbix

Orbix Hot Glass is a small studio and gallery business owned by Cal and Christy Breed. Opened in 2002, Orbix Hot Glass pieces are all hand-made by a team of experienced glass blowers.  I love that they pay great attention to their customers and the quality of work really shows. I took this quote directly from their site, “We are making one-at-a-time glassware for individuals who want one-at-a-time attention.” I think it sums up their work perfectly.

Fiesta-The Homer Laughlin China CO.- Newell, West Virginia

Made-in-the-usa-Fiesta

Fiesta China Co. I think has the perfect company name! Their china is bright, bold, fun and colorful just like a Fiesta! The Home Laughlin China Company introduced Fiesta dinnerware in 1936. Fiesta was designed by Frederick Hurten Rhead and became a major hit soon after hitting the market! Each year Fiesta releases a new color into their line! This is perfect because you know we love color here at MSLL! FIESTA is a major contender in bridal registries as well as the leading casual dinnerware brand across America.

 Meissenburg Designs-Bigfork, Montana

Made-in-the-usa-Meissenburg-designs

We love this company! Meissenburg is a great all American company right here in the states. They create custom signs that can be personalized with no extra charge along with various materials and designs! The designs are endless and greatly appeal to our area! They have a big selection of boating and lake theme signs which have become very popular with our customers!

Poor Boy Woodworks-Saginaw, Michigan

Made-in-the-usa-poorboywoodworks

We just discovered this company a few weeks ago and you may have already seen some of their products in our showroom. Matt Hunter is the owner of Poor Boy Woodworks, a company which creates wood signs with over 3,000 designs to choose from. We recently got these items name-dropped with Lake Gaston on them just for our showroom!

Company C Furniture- Various USA Cities

made-in-the-usa-company-c

Company C is a fabulous company that carries creative colorful furniture, rugs, bedding, and decorative accessories.  Chris and her husband Walter developed their business in 1994 after realizing the rug business they were running out of their garage was a huge success.  Company C’s furniture line is handcrafted and upholstered here in the US. Even their hardwoods are sustainably harvested and kiln-dried here in North Carolina!

What did you think of those awesome American made products? Do you have a favorite product that is also made in the US? We would love to hear about it!

We would also like to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July!

We hope you have a safe and fabulous weekend with your friends and family! Get out there and enjoy the lake!
