Archive for small bath design
Before I begin to share the latest elements of the small cottage project I have to say I had two wonderful weeks touring from Kingston NY, Blacksburg VA, High Point NC to beautiful Lake Gaston NC. Each stop was filled with many different activities but the BEST was being so warmly embraced by all my family and friends. THANK YOU!!!
Now it is back to work and the demolition is occurring at the small house project, now being know as the Cottage House. If you missed the first segment you can catch it here:
Today the client and I visited the local Ferguson Supply showroom to look at an “industrial base” pedestal sink. She had spotted it last week when I was away. I was a little skeptical about it until I saw it today. If you are looking for “industrial style” this piece really fits the bill. It is manufactured by Stone Forest. We are researching the vessel sink options. It will most likely be a grey/black granite similar to the sink in the lower right of this picture.
We selected the Brizo Odin through-the-wall vessel sink faucet to compliment the base.
Tonight I did a little more research for various other elements to use. Here are my suggestions:
This is going to be so COOL! Loving this look. This is the first time I’ve tried to pull something like this together in a very small space. I think the small scale of the pedestal sink will really open up the small bathroom.
I found another light fixture that works well with this theme as an option for over the small breakfast table.
What do you think about this look? It may not be for you but you must admit the rustic iron base of the pedestal sink is really unique! I am looking forward to seeing the outcome.
Let’s hear your comments!
