Appetizer Plate-Ivory w/Blue Dichroic Accents

Description

This ivory and blue appetizer plate is crafted using a kiln-forming process that utilizes gravity to heat and mold the glass into the desired shape. From afar, it appears to be a monochromatic, black-and-white piece – but as you move closer, new colors emerge on an ivory base with a detailed blue-indigo glow. 

Three balanced stones run parallel to black stripes that frame the piece. Highlights of black, aqua, and silver give a sense of balance and harmony to the darker shades. This work by Mary Sherwood is bold in its simplicity and gifts the space around it a calming energy. It is a welcome addition to any table top decor.
